In 2020 and the start of 2021, Covid-19 really put a damper on our travels. Just when I was set to kick off booking group travel, everything came to a halt. Not only that but our personal travels faced a setback. We had booked a beautiful home on the Big Island of Hawaii- CANCELLED. We had booked a trip to Italy and Morocco-CANCELLED. Fortunately, we were able to go to Hawaii last year (for our 20th anniversary) but things were a bit different. We planned to renew our vows for our 20th anniversary but because Covid made things look different, we decided to wait until our 25th. Thankfully, I believe my dress is timeless. Now let’s see if I can still wear it in 3 1/2 years. That’s the real test.

Now, that we are trying to get back to normal. I said “trying” because Covid doesn’t appear to be going anywhere and there is still loss of life every day, we are back to traveling and I can’t be more excited. This year, we’ve already completed 2 trips in January (Ft. Lauderdale and NYC) and have booked 6 more. We’re headed to a beach in about a week. And, guess what? We’re still not finished booking for the year. We have yet to book our trip to Italy to get Kaitlyn to Aricca for her semester-long study abroad program. So, it looks like I will get to Italy after all. The goal this year is at least 12 flights. If you had asked me if I could do this 5 years ago, I would have said “absolutely not”. Well, I’m back to working online so I have the flexibility to work anywhere. We’re also ALMOST empty nesters. I have an older child (almost 17) left at home and a retired mother who will hop on a plane at a moment’s notice. I’ll call her and say, “I booked a flight for you” and she’s always ready. We are so lucky that flights from GSP to BHM are so reasonable. She’s not sick of us…yet. I’m not sure about my stepdad though.
Although the kids don't travel with us like they used to (because of their busy lives), Thanksgiving and Christmas are usually the times we can coordinate travel.
This Thanksgiving will be EPIC!
I am so excited for them. I will provide more details later this year. Bryson will actually spend his birthday in 2 different countries. We've already booked photography/videography that will be used on different platforms. Again, follow us on Instagram for more details.
So, what’s on the horizon for Be.Wander+Love. Well, we have a bunch of upcoming travels- domestic/international, business/pleasure, solo/group, and anniversary celebration/a wedding.
You name it, there is always a reason to travel. We will be organizing 4 group travel opportunities each year- March, June, September, December. These trips will be geared towards different travel groups and different locations-domestic and international. We will include everything from all-inclusive resorts and Broadway weekends in NYC. What we will NOT offer -CRUISES. Not yet! Yes, that's due to Covid. We might take on personalized trips depending on our schedule but they will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We work full-time and I'm in the start up phases of a non-profit so this appears to be the easiest method of booking travel.
Be.Wander+Love will also start sharing online shopping discounts each day- travel, home, beauty, electronics. Corey can find a deal! No matter what it is, he believes there is always a better price somewhere else. That’s probably why we are able to take such amazing trips at such great prices.
Well, follow Be.Wander+Love on Instagram for updates. All of our posts also appear on Facebook but that’s not our preferred platform. In fact, we are rarely on Facebook. We also have a few videos posted on YouTube from a few years ago. Again, life gets away from us sometimes. In the near future, we will be available on TikTok and Snapchat so watch out for that.
I’m also excited to announce that our (private) couple’s trip for 2023 is to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Thanks to a posts of a Facebook friend, this was an easy decision.
